So we went to see the new Miyazaki movie today and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Ponyo is definitely aimed at a younger audience than, say, Princess Mononoke (which is my favorite), but it's still a great film. I was worried that as Miyazaki gets older his stories tend to get a little more strange and confusing, but Ponyo is simple and a very pleasurable experience. I mean, if you liked his movies in the past you will enjoy this one. We give it an 8/10.
